Let’s Go to Nicaragua
Nicaragua, the largest country in Central America, is located between Honduras and Costa Rica. It contains the second larges t lake in Latin America, beautiful beaches, a chain of active volcanoes and more than 300 rivers. Unfortunately, due to its location Nicaragua has suffered many natural disasters. When these disasters occur, it is usually the poor families who suffer the most. Their homes are easily destroyed by rain and wind. These families also lack the financial resources to recover quickly from such disasters.
That’s why we are coming together from December 2nd to December 10th, with a team to help provide families in Nicaragua with simple, decent, affordable housing while exploring the country and culture. The trip cost ($1,570) includes donations to Habitat; meals; accommodations; transport; medical emergency evacuation and trip cancellation insurance; some local cultural activities; team coordination and orientation materials; and team leader costs. Fundraising tools are available!
(Participant airfare, R&R activities, and visa and exit fees not included.)
Habitat for Humanity has built more than 300,000 houses around the world, providing more than 1.5 million people in more than 3,000 communities with safe, decent, affordable shelter. Join us on this trip and help make an impact!
